The Call of Being an Employer

Before you even start thinking of what this entry maybe, I would like to ensure you that what I am referring to is actually being a maid's employer.

No pun intended but I would like to rant it off here and let out some steam of frustration of a maid who doesn't seem to understand whats the whole issue about and not to mention her laziness.

Despite her character is pretty all right, I find her a little too loud for my comfort. Perhaps it also due to this, henceforth she finds it pretty all right to sneakily slack in certain work / chores. Until someone or me found out and she gets a telling off - she will finally get it in her head.

Do not get me wrong, I am not one of those unreasonable employer around and no I do not mishandled my maid. But somehow I would like to provide 1-2 incidents that I came across as near to unacceptable.

Incident 1:

Detergent bought beginning of the month - 2 packets of refill. After a fornight, I was informed that only 50% of it was left. My first thought - do you drink detergent as part of your meals? After monitoring her, I realised her concept is : THE MORE THE CLEANER. I told her it doesn't mean the more detergent the more cleaner it will be , infact there's a guideline.

So I ended being a hawk for 1 week !

Incident 2:

The more bleach the better and everything should be bleach.
She thought it was wonder clean - anything can be bleach and all. Till my younger sibling started having her clothings back in funny shades of color.

Mom's being notified and bleach found to be left 20% despite its just bought less than a fornight ago. She is officially given a strong warning and No bleach will be refilled till she learns - everything is moderation.

Your thoughts?
